A. Jeanette Drake, 83 of Galion, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.
Born Dec. 10, 1933 in Hueysville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Warnie and Clara (Shipman) Hale. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Benjamin E. Drake, whom she married on April 8, 1951.
Jeanette was devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed camping with the family at Pleasant Hill Lake. She was a member of the Galion Community Hospital TWIG 2 for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sons, Mike (Eileen) Drake, of Mansfield, and Randy Drake, of Galion; grandchildren, Jennifer Dovenbarger, of Mansfield, and Sarah (Russell) Neumann, of Galion; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ray (Wanda) Hale, of Greenwich; sister, JoAnn Hale, of Willard, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Bernice Hale.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
