MANSFIELD — The Elks Lodge has the space and is willing to donate its place to those looking to do good in the community.

Linda Doty, exalted ruler of the Mansfield Elks Lodge, said the club has been contacted by three organizations, and it would love to host more.

“We really want the community to know what we’re all about,” she said.

Doty said the Elks are looking to donate their space to groups who want to teach, improve and better the community.

The Millennial Create Foundation, a home school students group, and a line dancing exercise class have each been granted access to the banquet hall on a “project-by-project basis” Doty said.

Elks invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, by undertaking projects that address unmet need, and by honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans, according to their website.

Doty said donating their kitchen and banquet hall to those who represent positivity in the community is exactly what fits their mission statement.

“Donating our facility to projects that empower people, and represent our community is what we are about,” she said. “We’ve always been a part of our community, but we don’t really brag about it.”

Organizations looking for banquet hall usage may contact the Elks Lodge about using the space should call 419-524-0901.
