MANSFIELD – Two men were arrested during a drug raid Thursday by the METRICH Enforcement Unit.
At around 4:18 p.m. Thursday, METRICH, with assistance from the Mansfield Police Department, the Allied Special Operations Response Team and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force executed a drug-related search warrant at 465 Park Ave. West in Mansfield.
After the search, Devall L. Williams Sr., 28, was arrested on six counts of trafficking in drugs. Gerald S. Nixon Jr., 27, was arrested on a parole violation.
According to a press release, detectives found suspected crack cocaine, suspected heroin, marijuana and several packages of hash oil, also known as “dabs.” More than $2,000 in U.S. currency was also seized.
The search warrant was the result of a short term investigation after several complaints of suspected drug trafficking in the area of Park Avenue West and Bartley Avenue.
“METRICH will continue to target suspected drug dealers in the community, especially those that are selling Fentanyl and thanks to those individuals in the community who provided information that assisted in the investigation,” said METRICH Commander Lt. Joseph D. Petrycki.
