Severe weather to hit north central Ohio on Saturday afternoon

MANSFIELD — North central Ohio should expect a severe weather system on Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

A warm front will lift north into the area overnight, triggering some storms. Highs on Saturday will reach into the mid 80s. A cold front will follow on its heels on Saturday afternoon and into the evening, the weather service reported.

According to the forecast, strong to severe storms are possible from Sandusky to Marion and eastward.
