Janice M. Stevens-Sharp, 82, of 444 Woodland Avenue, passed this life on Monday, September 5, 2016 in Arbors of Mifflin Care Center.
Mrs. Sharp was born on Wednesday, August 15, 1934 in Andalusia, Alabama and had lived in the Mansfield community for 62 years. She retired from White Westinghouse, Inc. in 1992 after 27 years of service and was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ. Janice did volunteer cooking for the Friendship Senior Citizen’s Program. She remarried and moved to Barberton for 10 years and returned to the Mansfield community in 2014. Janice loved shopping, all kinds of music with Lou Rawls and Tom Jones being her favorites, and her plants.
Janice is survived by 2 daughters April (Kenneth) Jackson, Mansfield and Shelley Arnold, Virginia Beach, Virginia; 3 sons Shawn Madison and Wayne Stevens, both of Mansfield and Scott Stevens, Orville, 16 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren; 10 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents D.L. Johnson and Nora Fowler Madison, first husband Wayne, 2nd husband John Sharp and a sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Services by Pastor Jeff Jones of First Baptist Church of Mansfield Campus. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends at her home until the day of the service.
