Norma Jean (Fulk) Ritter, 80, of Mansfield, passed away following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
Norma was born on March 8, 1936, in Ashland, Ohio, to Walter “Scott” and Mabel Ruth Fulk. Heaven was enriched on Aug. 17, 2016 with the passing of Norma. Her presence in the lives of our family and friends will be mournfully missed.
Norma’s main goal in life was to be a good wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, cooking, baking, flowers, and vacationing with her family.
Norma was a three-time cancer survivor; despite all her inner fight she lost the battle to MDS. During her final days, Norma was surrounded by family and friends to the very end. We praise God for her Christian influence in our lives and all the nurturing, caring, virtues, and morals she instilled in all of us. We are very blessed to have had Norma in our lives.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Ritter, of Mansfield; two children, Pamela Funk and Charles B. Ritter; three brothers, Herbert Fulk, Harold Fulk, and Lester (Melinda) Fulk; one sister, Joan Remy; two sister-in-laws, Mary Fulk and Evelyn Fulk; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Glenn and Donald Fulk; a brother-in-law, Bill Remy; two sister-in-laws, Peg and Shirley Fulk; and a niece, Kathy Schwan.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, at Paradise Hill United Methodist Church at 1493 State Route 603, Ashland Ohio, 44805.
