Letha Jean Cooley, 59, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Hearl and Betty Jean (Stevens) Clay on Nov. 16, 1956.
Letha was a very thoughtful, considerate, and generous person. She was funny, caring, soft-hearted, and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile.
Letha was very family-oriented. She loved spending time with her family, and she loved her husband with all her heart. Letha was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved to be pampered, and was an excellent cook. In addition, Letha was a member of Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church.
Letha is survived by her daughters, Leslie Robinett, of Shiloh, and Jamie Cooley, of Ontario; six grandchildren, Tori, Natalie, Whitley, Gage, Piper, and Colt; two sisters, Stella (Tony) Finnegan, of Shiloh, and Rhonda (Dan) Kelly, of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Steve Clay, of Mansfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Letha was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Cooley; and her parents, Hearl and Betty Jean (Stevens) Clay.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill, Ontario. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 at 10 a.m., also at the Ontario Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
