ONTARIO — The Area Agency on Aging has awarded five, $1,000 grants to the following recipients in District 5:
Spencer Favers – Nursing (Richland County)
Dakota Procker – Social Work (Richland County)
Jenna Shipman – Occupational Therapy (Morrow County)
Grace Haring – Neuroscience (Richland County)
Jonathon Pifher – Nursing (Richland County)
Each year the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging Board of Trustees provides grants to individuals who intend to enroll in an institution of higher education or in local classes to reach their education goals in a field promoting the aging network.
Additionally, Emily Cramer of Seneca County was selected as the 2016 recipient of the Board of Trustees’ $2,000 Merit Scholarship.
The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc., located at 2131 Park Avenue West in Ontario, provides leadership, collaboration, coordination and services to older adults, people withdisabilities, their caregivers, and resource networks that support individual choice, independence and dignity.
