Robert W. “Bob” Mabee passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 6, 2016 in his home. He was 59.

Born on May 7, 1957, his parents were Robert & Charlotte (Purdy) Mabee. He graduated from Malabar High School with the class of 1974.

In spare time, Bob took pleasure in fishing. He would catch whatever would bite. He even had a place by the lake that he would go to every now and then to fish. Bob was also very involved with restoring cars, especially Volvos. He also enjoyed skiing and water skiing and was known as a very good swimmer in high school.

He is survived by his mother Charlotte (Purdy) Mabee; fiancée Becky Williams and her children; brother Bruce & Julianna Mabee, sister Pamela & Bernard Car as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert E. Mabee as well as his grandparents.

The Mabee family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home with a funeral service honoring Bob’s life beginning immediately at 1 p.m. The Rev. David Sipes will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.

Contributions in Bob’s memory to Mt. Carmel Hospice may be made at the funeral home.
