David Lee Swanger, 61, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at his home in Mansfield.
He was born April 30, 1955, in Mansfield, Ohio to Robert and Patricia (Goff) Swanger.
David worked for Mansfield Screw Machine for over 40 years as a machinist. He was a very hard worker. David was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, trapping, and hunting. David also like going to tractor pulls in his spare time and driving around in his new truck.
David lived life on his own terms. He liked to laugh and had a great sense of humor, but most of all, he was kind hearted. David was a great friend, brother, and uncle, and will be missed dearly.
David is survived by his siblings, Peggy (Thomas) Bechley, and Troy (Katy) Swanger; nieces and nephews, Donavon Swanger, Melisa (Josh) Arms, Samantha (Timothy) McGuire, Benjamin Bechley, and Weston Swanger; three great nieces and nephews, Caden Swanger and Mackenzie and Jordan Arms; and a close friend, Scott Shaw.
David is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Stephen Swanger.
A memorial service for David will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.
