Carolyn (Robinson) Lehnhart, 77, of Mansfield passed away July 27, 2016 at Hospice of North Central Ohio.

Carolyn was born Nov. 30, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Miriam Kent and Harold Robinson. She was a head cook with the Mansfield City School District for 30 years.

She spent the last 10 years before retirement at Mansfield Senior High. She enjoyed cooking for and speaking with all the students that passed through her cafeteria. In her retirement years, she enjoyed volunteering at OhioHealth MedCentral Hospital.

Carolyn was a member at St. Matthews and later Holy Trinity Lutheran Churches in Mansfield for many years.

A dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Carolyn was involved in all of her children’s activities. She later became the number one fan of her grandkids, never missing a game or event. She also enjoyed lounging at Linden pool in the summer with friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Lehnhart; her parents; and step mother Kitty Robinson.

She is survived by her children, Robert A. Lehnhart, Linda (Lehnhart) and Tony Simmering; five grandsons, Christopher and Braden Lehnhart, Tyler and Grave Simmering, Travis and Vicki Simmering, Todd Simmering; four great grandchildren, Alex, Eleanor, Quinn, and Corrie Simmering and her beloved canine companion Chip.

A private memorial will be held in her honor by the family. Private burial will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
