Marian Elaine (Little) Seiler, 91, passed away Thursday evening June 16, 2016 in Zephyr Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center, Zephyrhills, Florida where she has lived since 2011.
Born May 27, 1925 in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, to H. Curran and Christina Jenkner Little, she graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1942. In 1946 she graduated from Miami University in Oxford, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
After graduation Marian moved to live with her family in Pittsburgh, PA where she worked at H. J. Heinz Company as a dietician performing quality assurance testing until her marriage to Justin A. Seiler in 1949.
She and Justin lived in Mansfield, where they operated Seiler Engineering and Surveying and raised their family. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Marian loved her family, she loved to be with people and was a loyal friend. She was a joy to be around and was happiest when surrounded by her family or friends. Her smile and laughter were contagious, Marian was always cheerful.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Earl) Young, Zephyrhills, Florida; son, Douglas C. (Lynn) Seiler, Mansfield; grandchildren Carolyn (Joseph) Knothe, Warrensburg, Missouri; Kara (John) Niziurski, Suwanee, Georgia; Phillip (Laura) Young, Birmingham, Alabama; Steven (Sarah) Seiler, Williamsburg, Virginia; and great grandchildren Justin and Camille Knothe, Emeric and Josephine Seiler, and Hudson Young.
Her husband, Justin predeceased her in death in 2000 as did her brother, Robert C. Little in 2011.
A service in celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 16 at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield. Burial was in Mansfield Cemetery. A celebration of her life will also be held in Zephyr Haven.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marian’s memory may be made to Gorman Nature Center, 2295 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44907.
