MANSFIELD — Christopher B. Edmonds was arrested on a “Robbery Warrant” Thursday afternoon by the United States Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Taskforce for his involvement in last week’s Richland Bank robbery at 460 W. Cook Road.
Edmonds was taken into custody, without incident, at a residence on Cotter Road in Mansfield. He is charged with robbery, a second-degree felony.
Although the police officials do not anticipate any additional arrests at this time, the Major Crimes Detectives, along with the FBI, continue to follow up additional information as the investigation is ongoing, according to a news release.
On Friday, June 17, police say a white male entered the bank and walked up to the teller. The male gave a note to the teller at which time an undisclosed amount of money was handed over. The male suspect exited the bank and fled northbound through the parking lot on foot.
The Division of Police and the FBI would like to thank those citizens who provided tips throughout this investigation which assisted in the identification and apprehension of Edmonds.
Anyone with additional information that may help this investigation is asked to contact Major Crimes Detective Frank Parrella at 419-755-9470.
