LEXINGTON — Mary Ann Holston is the proud owner of a new metaphysical, holistic and spiritual store in Lexington.

Located in the Lex Charm Plaza, Waves of Light has a variety of products, from salt lamps to crystal prisms, jewelry, stones and more. The store also offers various services, including intuitive readings, Vajra classes, Reiki sessions, massage therapy, psychic development classes, among other services.

Waves of Light officially opened its doors for business last week.

“I’ve always just wanted to have a place where people could come and feel safe, for healing and to meet any spiritual, mental, physical, emotional needs,” Holston said.

After participating in a few expos last fall–including the Divine Heart Expo at the Richland County Fairgrounds–she and her husband Jerry decided to open a business.

“The next thing you know, here we are,” she said.

The Lexington couple said they saw a need for a spiritual, holistic and metaphysical store in the area.

“Everyone in the area has to drive over an hour to find a shop that even sells any of this,” Jerry said.

Their products are sourced from multiple locations, including Tennessee, Arkansas, Pakistan, China and the Middle East.

Customers may purchase items in-store or online at https://squareup.com/store/waves-of-light.

The store, located at 305 E. Main St. Regular store hours will be posted on the door for after June 5.

Classes will be posted on the website and Facebook page. People may sign up for group and/or individual classes by calling 419-884-7142.

Mary Ann began offering classes and services in 2007.

“When I give a reading to somebody, automatically I’m sensing things, feeling things,” she said. “I can see the aura, I can see inside the body if there are any illnesses, ailments or anything like that.

“I’m not a doctor; I’m not allowed to say I’m a doctor or what I do will heal anyone, but I can see and tell them that they should go see a physician about this, this or this.”

At the end of the day, she hopes to help people.

“I’m one of those people who would give the shirt off my back to help somebody,” she said. “Even if it was the last shirt I had and a person needed it, I would give it to them.”
