MANSFIELD — The Renaissance Performing Arts Association will hold the inaugural Renaissance Rock ‘n’ Roll Car Festival, rain or shine, on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in front of the Renaissance Theatre on Park Avenue West, Downtown Mansfield.

Featuring a cruise-in, live music, local food, vendors, and more, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Renaissance Performing Arts Association.

The event and outdoor bands are free to the public to attend, car registration is $10 per vehicle. Food trucks will be available behind the Renaissance Theatre throughout the day. Check-in and registration will open at 9 a.m.; pre-registration is available online at MansfieldTickets.com now and is encouraged, as spaces are limited. The first 100 pre-registered will receive a complimentary t-shirt.

Bands featured on the outdoor stage will include Back on Earth at noon, Nasty Habits at 1 p.m., and Jimmy Warner at 2 p.m. These bands are free to the public.

Bands will also be playing inside on the Renaissance stage beginning at noon with Pace of Glaciers, followed by The Wind and the Sea at 1 p.m., and Trouper at 2 p.m. Trouper, made up of local residents Max Dotson, Aaron James Nicolas, and Nicholas Dotson, will release their latest album, All Things are Shadow, at this event. Admission to the bands on the Renaissance stage is $5 per person at the door.

The car show, cruise-in, and live music will begin at 10 a.m. and last until 3 p.m. This event will run parallel to the second annual Mansfield Children’s Festival which will happen on the Square. Families are encouraged to enjoy both events.
