In her spare time she enjoyed word search games and jig saw puzzles, flower and vegetable gardening, crocheting afghans, family get-togethers at her home, but she loved attending all of her children and grandchildren’s school events. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher, the Women of Zion, the GH&L Farm Bureau Council, the Mother’s Club, and was a volunteer at the Red Cross Blood Drives.
Ruth is survived by her husband of nearly 72 years, Clovis E. Stitzlein, whom she married June 9, 1944; two daughters: Janet Abee of Loudonville and Nancy (Jim) Mott of Columbus; five sons: Gary (Diana) Stitzlein of Waldo, Roger (Connie) Stitzlein of Loudonville, Steven (Lynn) Stitzlein of Grove City, Dwain (Roberta) Stitzlein and Brian (Leslie) Stitzlein, both of Loudonville; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both her parents, five brothers: George, Harley, Bill, Robert, and Dale Moherman, and one sister, Thelma Stitzlein.
