MANSFIELD — Bankz Salon and Spa will be hosting a headshaving event fundraiser on Friday, April 15, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at its 248 N. Main St. location.
The event is raising money for Cameron Friend, an eighth-grader at Ontario Middle School who is battling cancer.
Cameron, 13, is the son of Todd and Renee Friend and was diagnosed with T-lymphoblastic leukemia on Sept. 22, 2015 after masses were found on his chest, stomach, and kidney.
Professional Banks stylists will be on hand to shave heads or fuse a blue extension. Donations for services will all go to Cameron for his medical expenses.
