Clarence Herbert “Herb” Shrewsberry, 81, of Mansfield, was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 10, 2016 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

Born Aug. 22, 1934 in Mansfield, he was the son of Raymond and Thelma (Aycock) Shrewsberry.

Herb was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Alaska and Germany receiving the Good Conduct Medal and the Longevity Service Award. He worked as a salesman in the electronics field and was a member of Lincoln Heights Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

Herb enjoyed spending time at Lake Erie, fishing, watching Westerns on TV but his greatest joy was when he was doing the Lord’s work. 

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda (Snook) Shrewsberry; a daughter, Laura Shrewsberry Brining of Mansfield; two grandsons, Brian Reid and Bobby Reid; a granddaughter, Morgan Reid; several nieces and nephews; and a special friends, Burford Frazier and Jane Lewis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Hammond; two brothers, Donald and Paul Shrewsberry; and a sister, Arlene McElvain. 

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Lincoln Heights Baptist Church, 512 N. Stewart Rd., Mansfield, Ohio 44905 conducted by Pastor Mike Wilson.
