Nancy K. (Butler) Adkins, 62, of Mansfield, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Born Dec. 12, 1953 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Jack and Edith (Markel) Butler.
She worked in the Home Health Care field. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was looked up to as a second mom to many. She enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, going to thrift shops and crocheting, especially afghans for family. She also enjoyed baking and was known for her pecan pies, lemon meringue pies and her fudge. She was a great advice giver.
She is survived by her sons, Jason (Beth) Leppo and Ryan Allen and his fiancée, Michelle Price; a step daughter, Karen Mason; grandson, Tristan Allen; brother, Terry Butler; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friends, Linda Dials and Pam Owens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Adkins; and two brothers, Jack Butler and James Butler.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the funeral home conducted by her nephew Bryon Butler with an additional time of visitation from 1 to 2 p.m.
