Brenda A. Neff, 67, Crestline, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Regional Hospital Bayonet Point, Hudson, FL after suffering injuries from a traffic accident.
Brenda was born in Crestline on July 28, 1948 to the late Bartolo and Madelyn (Forman) Anatra. She married her high school sweetheart, Craig Neff on April 1, 1967 and he survives her. They were very much in love and always together.
Brenda graduated from Crestline High School in 1966 and received an Associate Degree in Accounting from North Central State College in 1978, graduating with high honors. Brenda retired in 2007 from a 30 year career in school business. She served as treasurer for four different Ohio school districts and was very proud of her career. Brenda was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Crestline. Her family was very important to her. She raised her daughters to believe that racism and sexism was a thing of the past. Brenda was liberal and progressive in her political views.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters; Angie and Wayne Hilbert, Pickerington, Andrea and Donald Hawthorne, Coshocton, grandchildren; Madalyne Smith, Pickerington, Emily Pearch, Pickerington, Grace Ann Hawthorne, Coshocton, great granddaughter; Sage Smith, Pickerington, her siblings; George and Carol Iiams, Bucyrus, Lillian Iiams, Breeze, IL, Jackie Saurers, Crestline, June and Ron Studer, Crestline, and Bart and Elizabeth Anatra, Crestline,.
Friends may call Friday, March 11, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 11 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline with Rev. Gary Proietti officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Galion Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
