GALION — The Galion City School District Board of Education voted to add three professional development days for staff to the 2015-2016 school calendar during the Feb. 18 meeting.
The result of the Board’s decision is an extended spring break for students.
The added professional development days will take place March 21, 22 and 23. Students will not be in classes beginning March 21, and classes will resume Tuesday, March 29.
“The entire staff at both the Primary and Intermediate Schools will be involved in the Leader in Me training during those three days,” Superintendent Jim Grubbs said. “While the Middle and High School staffs will be involved in a comprehensive school-wide behavior management training.”
