LEESVILLE, Ohio — The Dapper Cabin will be the focus of the quarterly Tellin’ Tales installment on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at Lowe-Volk Park.
This quarterly program offered by the Crawford Park District allows local residents to share in the history of Crawford County.
In the 1830’s the Dapper family came to Crawford County and built a log cabin for their family on land that was purchased from the government. Eventually, the cabin was donated by Katie Hoover to Colonel Crawford Schools.
Local historian and former Superintendent of Colonel Crawford Schools, Ted Bruner, will lead a discussion on the cabin’s history and the rebuilding of it by volunteers.
Lowe-Volk Park is located at 2401 Ohio 598, three miles north of US Route 30. For more information contact the Crawford Park District office at 419-683-9000.
