MANSFIELD, Ohio — The Renaissance Education Department has announced it will again offer its Improv Underground program, a free 7-week theatre improvisation course.
Improv Underground classes focus on building basic improv skills through group activities, and are open to all students between the ages of 14 and 19. Students are guaranteed to gain self-confidence, improve communication skills, and have fun.
All classes take place at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield from 4 to 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday. The course begins on Feb. 10 and will run through March 23. The course is led by Dauphne Maloney, well-known throughout the area for her work with youth theatre, with help from Renaissance Artistic Director Michael Thomas, a former Second City improv troupe member.
