ASHLAND, Ohio – Kingston of Ashland has hired Heidi Mowry, as a new Respiratory Therapist.
Mowry will soon be starting a community “Breathe Easy” Program, which will focus on Pulmonary Wellness.
“I am excited to join a great team here at Kingston of Ashland, along with helping throughout the community,” Mowry said.
She will also be working on raising public awareness through educational talks throughout the community. As the Respiratory Therapist, Mowry is responsible for helping residents and community members manage their COPD. Her expertise will help guide the patient to a fuller, more active life style. Her goal is to increase their lung capacity by taking control of their breathing and building the confidence it takes to improve their overall quality of life.
She will assistance them in boosting their energy level, through mind and body fitness.
Mind and body fitness is an essential piece of keeping a COPD check. Achieving maximized health calls for an all-around approach through maintaining a healthy diet, sleep, focusing on ways to manage your mood, learning and implementing breathing techniques. By regularly participating in physical activities, such as stretching and walking a patient can improve their quality of life.
Mowry said she was attracted to Kingston Health Care because of the organization’s innovative nature in the community and health industry.
Anyone interested in attending one of her community talks or programs should contact Stephanie Kozak, Community Relations Director or Melanie Fitch, Community Relations Assistant at 419-289-3859.
