Daniel L “Danny” Slone, 72, of Crestline, suddenly passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, at his residence.

Danny was born in, Ohio on May 21, 1943 to the late David “Red” Slone and Violet Slone of Stuart, FL.. He married Judy E. Muntis on December 30, 1987 and she preceded him in death on May 25, 2007.

Danny owned Slone’s Towing and Auto Repair since 1969, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #303, Galion. He loved to dance and play poker/Texas Hold Em. Danny enjoyed woodworking. He made furniture and things for his kids and grandchildren, including a train. He worked on cars and mowers. He was gentle and kind to everyone.

He is survived by his four daughters: Tammy and Pete Adkins, Crestline, Michele and Jeff Kovacs, Sulphur Springs, Melissa and Shannon Case, Galion, Sharon Slone and her fiancé Chris Perry, Bucyrus; his fiancé Rose A. Bloomfield, Crestline; his two step-daughters Elizabeth (Llyod) Kryk, Tammy Bloomfield; his 20 grandchildren Crystal Adkins (Jesse Savage), Stephanie (Steven) Mills, Christina Adkins, Lucas Bauwens, Amber (Mike) Coffey, Danielle Kovacs, Nicholas (Chelsea) Kovacs, Logan Whitehead, Neveah Whitehead, McKenzie Whitehead, Leeanna Gifford, Jazmyne Recher, Elyssa Case, Wesley Stewart, Zach Pfeifer, Skyler Perry, Vanessa Perry, Heather Banks, Ashley Banks, Hayley Kyrk; his five great-grandchildren Grace and Isabella Mills, Lacey Savage, Layla Sky, Tesslynn Banks, and Jackson Mahl- on the way; his two brothers Steven Slone, Massilon, James Slone, TX; his five sisters Charlotte Wethington, FL, Debbie Gartley, FL, Dianne Owen, SC, Sandy Efaw, TN, Pat Bond.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Slone.

Friends may call Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St. Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Rev. Mike Corwin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Reformed Cemetery, Crestline .
