Louise E. Thompson, 83, of Mansfield, passed away Monday evening, January 11, 2016, at Mansfield Memorial Homes. She was born May 22, 1932, in Morehead, Kentucky, to the late William and Gladys (Dillon) Skaggs.
Louise graduated from Ontario High School and Cosmetology School. She owned Louise’s Beauty Shop for over 15 years. Louise married the love of her life, Eugene Thompson, on March 11, 1950, and they were married for 65 wonderful years. She was a wonderful, caring and giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by her loving family
Louise is survived by her devoted husband, Eugene Thompson; a daughter, Peggy S. (Skip) Correll; two grandchildren, Tamara (Woody) Smith and Angela (Steve) Boyd; two step grandchildren, Mark (Angela) Correll and Jeff Correll; four great-grandchildren, Julia Smith, Christopher, Andrew and Jackson Boyd; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara J. Morrow; and two brothers, Richard and Harold Skaggs.
Private family services were arranged at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors.
