Luther “Luke” Alfred Lomax, 71, of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016.
Luke was born on July 16, 1944 in Spokane, Washington. He grew up in the Mansfield area, graduating from Mansfield Senior High School. He also lived in New Mexico for a period of time before returning to Mansfield.
Throughout his life, Luke was a “jack of all trades.” He enjoyed bowling in his younger years and even owned a bowling alley in Carey, Ohio, in the 1970s. He was a member First Alliance Church.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Joyce Lomax; son, Luke Lomax; grandchildren, Bethany and Dalton Lomax; step-grandson, Trevor Atwell; great-grandson, Brand Eddleblute; brother, Arthur Lomax; sister, Jeneane Kindinger; niece, Jalane (Bob) Miller; nephews, Jonathon Lomax and Roman (Brianne) Kindinger; and great-nieces, Lauren Sclafani and Jordan Kindinger.
Luke was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Otis Lomax, Sr.; his mother, Ruth (Stuff) Lomax; brother-in-law, Ralph Kindinger; sister-in-law, Sandra Lomax; and grandson, Gohan Eddleblute.
A private funeral service will be held for the family at a future date that has not yet been determined.
