Paul L. Flannery, 75, of Galion, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at Country Meadows Care Center, Bellville, after a lengthy illness.
Paul was born in Galion on May 25, 1940 to the late Herbert and Bertha (Ankerton) Flannery. He married Ruth M. Spayde and she survives him.
He retired from C&D Body Shop in Mount Gilead. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of the Amvets Post #1979, Galion. Paul enjoyed fishing, golfing and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Ruth, his two daughters Alana and Tom Conners, of Galion, Tonya Phillips, his step-daughter Nancy Atkinson, of South Carolina, several grandchildren, his sister Marilyn Harsh, of Galion and his brother Francis Flannery, of Morrow County.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Vickie.
Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with Pastor Matthew Wheeler officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Marines and Galion/Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
