MANSFIELD, Ohio — Malabar Intermediate School students and their families will have an opportunity to express their artistic creativity on Thursday, Dec. 17.
Family Art Night is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria.
“We will begin by serving free pizza, chips and soft drinks. Then we will clear the tables and start on the art,” said art teacher Sonnet Hogue. “All materials will be provided.”
Families of fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders may choose from a variety of projects, including acrylic painting on canvas, chalk and oil pastels, plaster relief ornaments, and 3-D paper sculptures.
“Our goal is for families to share in the joy of artistic expression,” Hogue said. “They will take home what they make.”
Art teacher Don Snyder will join Hogue in circulating through the cafeteria to offer assistance.
Family Art Night was made possible by $1,000 donations each from the Elks Club and the Richland County Foundation.
