Frances L. (Shelton) Gemzer, 78, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, December 14, 2015.
Frances was born on July 24, 1937, in Tazewell County, VA, to Rhuie J. and Kelley B. (Shelton) Shelton. She was a member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church, and was employed for over 30 years at Stevens Manufacturing. Frances enjoyed going to church and visiting with her friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband, and listening to good country music.
She married Richard Gemzer on March 19, 1990, and he survives her. She is also survived by a daughter, Carol Thompson; and three siblings, Helen, Judy, and Sherman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Willie.
Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the funeral home, with Pastor J.D. Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
