Cheryl T. Ivy-Dewalt, 49, of Galion passed away Sunday evening, December 13, 2015 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born December 27, 1965 in Galion and was the daughter of Jerrell and Thelma (Gillam) Ivy.
Cheryl loved singing and playing the guitar and piano. She enjoyed sewing, making jewelry, collecting M & M items, teddy bears and taking care of people. Cheryl also was talented at writing poetry and music and cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by daughters Tryphena (Terry) Daffron of Mansfield and Gena Baldwin of Galion; grandchildren Kayden Metcalf and Eveylyn Dowler and two brothers Duane (Jonnie) Ivy and Jonathan (April) Ivy all of Galion.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother James Daniel Ivy and two sisters Patricia Arlene Milligan and Marlene Williams.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Tabernacle of Praise, 6480 Lower Leesville Road, Crestline, with Pastor Joshua Cole officiating.
