CLEVELAND, Ohio — Police and the Cleveland FBI have released a sketch of the suspect and are asking for assistance in the Key Bank hostage-robbery from earlier this month in Ontario.

Cleveland FBI, whom the Richland County Sheriff Department and the Ontario Police Department charged with handling the media on Nov. 11, issued a press release Monday. According to the press release, on Nov. 5, 2015 an unknown suspect entered a KeyBank employee’s home, Brian McConnell, and held the McConnell family hostage at gunpoint.

McConnell, who was not home at the time of the suspect’s entry, found his young family being held hostage. The next morning, Nov. 6, McConnell was told to travel to KeyBank to take $100,000 to $200,000 — McConnell then took the money back to his home, where the suspect took the cash and fled with another suspect driving a Ford Taurus.

A sketch was released by the FBI Monday, along with a press release that described the suspect as a white male, in his late teens to early 20’s, approximately 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, approximately 120 to 140 pounds, skinny build, with short, light brown hair.

The press release also included a picture of the year (2008 to 2009), make, and model of the Ford Taurus the assailant used.

According to the press release, the subject was wearing a white collared shirt, shiny black shoes, a black fedora with a red feather and a white bandana over his face.

Authorities believe there were two suspects involved in the heist. FBI special agent Vicki Anderson said there are no leads on the second suspect.

Anderson said anyone with information is encouraged to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). A reward of $25,000 is promised to the one who leads the FBI to a successful identification and prosecution of the suspect.
