Arlin J. Elliott

Arlin J. Elliott, 62, of Mansfield, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 11, 2015, at his home. He was born Jan. 20, 1953, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Ovellon and Hazel (Justice) Elliott.

Arlin attended Mansfield Senior High School and was an area resident his entire life. He was the manager at Five Cousins on West Fourth Street for many years, then went on to Westinghouse Corp. His last job was as manager of Elliott Carryout on Newman Street. In his spare time, Arlin enjoyed reading, football, and following NASCAR.

He is survived by a son, Joshua Elliott, of Bellville; mother, Hazel Elliott, of Mansfield; two brothers, Lowell (Jewell) Elliott of Grayson, Kentucky, and Glen Elliott, of Mansfield; two sisters, Linda (Robert) Johnston and Fay Elliott Brinegar, both of Mansfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Larry Comer, Steve Yohman and Ora Brinegar, all of Mansfield.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister-in-law, Pat Elliott.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Matthew Pond and takes place Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
