MANSFIELD, Ohio — Renee Schambre is excited to help people lead healthier lives through her business, Healthy Transformation.
Healthy Transformation is the newest addition to downtown Mansfield. It is located at 42 N. Main St. in the second floor of the building.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday morning in celebration of the business’s recent opening.
Services offered include integrative wellness programs, such as the meridian assessment. Schambre described, “I don’t use needles at all. I just measure the fingers and toes and get an energetic reading on tissues, organs, circulation, whatever and based on that, I can help put together a wellness plan for you.
“It isn’t diagnosing. It’s not a blood test. It’s an assessment tool,” she said.
Whole food supplements, essential oils and homeopathic remedies are also available for purchase.
Schambre originally opened Healthy Transformation in Columbus, where she worked for the past 17 years. She said she will continue to provide services in Columbus on Mondays.
Even if that wasn’t the case, “We would drive up here to see her anyway,” said Melanie Bergsten of Delaware, Ohio.
Bergsten has been one of Schambre’s clients for the past eight years.
“It started when my oldest son was having recurrent ear infections,” she said. “Our pediatrician wanted to put him on multiple antibiotics and get him tubes and then we saw Renee a couple of times and she was able to find the root cause and he never had another ear infection after that.”
Since then, she’s been a faithful client. “Anytime we have an issue come up, she’s the first person that we call,” Bergsten said.
She added, “She’s great with kids–my kids always look forward to seeing her.”
Richland Area Chamber of Commerce President Jodie Perry attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony. She said, “Any day that we can welcome a new business is a good one in my book.”
Counselors with SCORE, a non-profit organization that provides free business mentoring services, were also in attendance.
“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for SCORE,” Schambre said.
Schambre started taking appointments earlier this week. She said people can schedule an appointment Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., as well as Saturday mornings, by calling 419-971-8188.
