William “Big Dean” Sparks fought the battle like a warrior. Surrounded by his family, he went home peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, on July 28, 2015.
Born March 17, 1955, in Crestline, he was the son of Bill and Ethel Sparks.
Big Dean was a host of many friends, and dearly loved his wife of 36 years, his sons, and his grandchildren. He especially loved his canine buddy, Benji. He had a host of many friends and would give you the shirt off his back, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Big Dean was an extreme Hot Rod enthusiast and was branded strictly Chevrolet, especially Chevelles! He was known well throughout the community and was always contacted by his multitude of friends for his knowledge of finding hard to find car parts. He provided for his wife and two sons the best that life has to offer and he cared deeply for them all. He was a great husband, and one of the best fathers, his children could have ever wanted. Big Dean was very sensitive with a heart of extreme compassion towards humanity and the well- being of others.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Sparks, of Mansfield; two sons, William R. Sparks and Jamie W. Sparks both of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Jamie Maree Sparks and Domanik Jordan Lee Sparks; two special friends, his “brother”, Carl Norman of Tampa, FL, and his “sister”, Ora “Sis” Norris of Mansfield; the rest of his “brothers”; and the King family from 4-H Auto Wrecking.
Big Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
