Peggy J. Vaughen, 77, of Marengo and formerly of Galion, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at home.
Born July 2, 1938, in Galion, she was the daughter of Paul G. and Elizabeth (Rensch) Lamb. She was preceded in death May 4, 2014 by her husband of 57 years, Ted A. Vaughen. They were married November 3, 1956 a few months after Peggy graduated from Galion High School in 1956.
Peggy was the Finance Manager at Jack Maxton Chevrolet in Columbus for 28 years and retired in 2001. She moved to Marengo from Westerville in 2004. Peggy previously lived in Washington D.C. while Ted was stationed with the United States Navy at the Pentagon and Naval Shipyard. She traveled all around the world and loved spending time with her family
She is survived by children Rae Jean (Douglas) Wise of Marengo and Ted (Shelia) Vaughen of Niceville, Fla.; grandchildren Joshua (Mildred) Kovacs, Alexis Wise, Lauren Vaughen, Teddy Vaughen and Tyler Vaughen and great-grandchildren Angelina, Thorton, Remington and Jaxson.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son Douglas Vaughen and brother Eugene (Paul) Lamb.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery in Galion with Chaplain Jeff Slider officiating.
