Jeremy Lohr’s life revolved around his family and friends. He stayed strong to the end and was always smiling. Jay lost his courageous battle with cancer at the age of 41, Friday July 10, 2015 at the Zusman Hopice House in Columbus. He will be missed as a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.
Born November 9, 1973 in Galion he was the son of Bruce and Leila (Lauthers) Lohr of Lexington. He married Dawn (Thorbahn) Lohr on June 26, 1999 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Northmor High School in 1992 and worked at Minnich Manufacturing in Mansfield. Jeremy was an avid Ohio State fan and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and watching his children at their school activities and sporting events. Jeremy liked hunting, fishing, Frisbee golf, family trips, which included mushroom hunting, to Boyne Mountain in Michigan, playing euchure and camping at River Bend Family Campground.
In addition to his parents and wife he is survived by children Caleb, Kathryn and Kamryn all at home; brothers Kirk (Amy) Lohr of Lexington, Chris (Tiffany) Lohr of Lexington and Shawn (Morgann) Lohr of Bellville; nieces Adrianna, Chelsi, Madilyn, Chloe, Ally, Emma and Rebekah; nephews Hunter and Jaxson; brothers-in-law Dustin (Kasey) Thorbahn and Josh Thorbahn all of Oak Harbor; sister-in-law Rachel Cooley of Galion; father-in-law and stepmother-in-law Dan (Brenda) Thorbahn of Oak Harbor; Mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law Donna (Bill) Cooley of Galion; paternal grandmother Myra Cook of Bucyrus; maternal grandmother Florence Lauthers of Galion and grandmother-in-law Maxine (Bud) Carnicom of Port Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2015 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Open Arms Christian Church, 8372 St. Rt. 61, Galion, Ohio 44833 with Rev. Ben Pletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Educational Fund for Jeremy’s Children in care of Galion Building and Loan.
