MANSFIELD, Ohio – North End residents, churches, community groups and non-profit organizations are invited to apply for up to $250 in North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC) Small Grant funds for projects or events that benefit the North End of Mansfield. The North End includes the area of Mansfield north of Park Avenue West, between Trimble Road and Main Street.
Recently, NECIC extended our target area to also include census tract 16. Census tract 16 is the region bordered by Poth Road on the north, state Route 39/Springmill Street and state Route 30 on the south, North Trimble Road on the west and Bowman Street on the east. Individuals in this region are now also included in NECIC’s service area.
The program’s goal is to advance NECIC’s North End Community Economic Development Plan by connecting people, encouraging community involvement, and supporting volunteerism, while providing a public benefit to the North End community.
View the plan here. Priority will be given to applications that directly address the plan’s recommendations. Funding for 2015 small grants provided by The Richland County Foundation.
Applications for a Summer 2015 Small Grant must be received by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17 and are available at 199 N. Main St. or online at http://www.necic-ohio.org/#12. Call Kizzy Williams at (419) 525-3101 for more information
