On May 6, 2015, at 12:05 a.m., our Lord called Jan Rose (Cyrus) Arnett back home. She was born January 30, 1935 in Boyd County, Kentucky. Jan attended Boyd Co. High School. She worked as a waitress at Daugherty’s Restaurant for 30 years. Jan was a very hard working woman who had great perseverance throughout her earthly life. She was strong willed with a heart of gold.
She was recently joined in heaven by her daughter, Sharon L. (Arnett) Griffith.
She is survived by her son, George “Butch” Arnett; daughter, Terrie (Michael) Zumbro; son, Robert (Rose) Arnett; son-in-law, Doane Davidson; grandchildren, Angi Arnett, April (Brian) Sutter, Jamie (Stacy) Griffith, Marshall Davidson, Scott Davidson, Josh (Sarah) Arnett, Shannon Woodson, Amy (Akira) Yamazaki, and Bobbi (Tao) Sila; many great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy (Ellen) Cyrus; and special friends, Irene Bailey and Jeri Crane.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Cyrus; father, Merlyn Cyrus; brother, Paul Cyrus; George Arnett; Carl Wright; Dick Boales; daughter-in-law, Deb Arnett; step-daughter, Debbie Hecker; and granddaughter, Taylor Zumbro.
Memorial celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield, officiated by her son, Robert Arnett.
