John Paul Breinich, 71, of Galion, Ohio, passed away Sunday evening, May 17, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 4, 1943, in Athens, Ohio, to the late Mathias Jack Breinich and Juanita (Sailor) Breinich.
John graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and attended college in California for a short while, then moved back to Mansfield. He began doing odd jobs and design work for Galion Ironworks. On July 25, 1965, he married the love of his life, Frieda Lehman. Later he began doing contract engineering projects which took him and his family all over the United States. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, golfing and doing projects around the house.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Frieda Breinich; two children, Christopher John Breinich and Heather (Louie) Falzone; eight grandchildren, Bryan, Ariel, Corbin, Marissa, Caleb, Mathias, Madilynn and Haylee; two great-grandchildren, Lilianah and Leirayla; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and a sister.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The memorial service conducted by Bo Salisbury will follow at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
