MANSFIELD, Ohio – The Mansfield Symphony recently announced auditions for its Youth Orchestra (grades 9-12) and Youth Strings (grades 6-10) ensembles. Auditions will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on June 9-11 at Lexington High School.

The Mansfield Symphony youth orchestra programs are designed to complement the musical instruction young people receive in their school, but also provide a large ensemble experience to students who have no access to a school orchestra program.
Youth Strings is currently comprised of 55 students, some coming from as far as 70 miles away, and is under the direction of Matthew Domka. Youth Orchestra is comprised of 88 students from 12 counties, and is currently under the direction of Randy Heidlebaugh.
