Pauline A. Oakes, 90, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.
Pauline was June 16, 1924 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kacica. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Pauline had worked as an office administrator for Finefrock’s Funeral Home, Mansfield Board of Education, and the Senior Civic Center in Lexington. She has also worked for Borg-Warner as a key punch operator. Pauline enjoyed reading, sewing, and knitting.
Pauline is survived by five children, Karen (Phil) Scarbrough of Cincinnati, Pat Oakes-Lee, Debra (Tony) Walker, Sr. all of Mansfield, Dianne Griffith of Richmond, Texas, and Timothy Oakes of Lexington; fourteen grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
Along with her husband, C. Delmar Oakes, Pauline was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Burial will follow at Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
