John W. Hall, 68, of Mansfield, died Wednesday morning, April 22, 2015, at his home. Born July 22, 1946, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, he was the son of James R. and Odalene (Wilson) Hall.
He graduated from Madison High School and worked for Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company for a brief time. John was a very giving and selfless man, caring for people and animals alike, always being certain the stray cats were fed. He loved taking his sons camping and being a part of family gatherings. A nature lover, John enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting and keeping his many bird feeders full.
He is survived by two sons, Dan (Laurie) Hall and Gregg Hall and his fiancée, Jennifer Brady; four grandchildren, Ashley Hall, Brandon Hall, Owen Hall and Spencer “Spanky” Hall; three siblings, Donna Dryer, Sue Nagel and Rob (Mary) Hall; numerous nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Betty Hutchinson. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers-in-law, Carl Dryer, Brian Nagel and Michael Noe.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, in Oak Grove Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Garrison officiating.
