Jay R. “Ray” Miller, 71, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015, following a lengthy illness.
Ray was born on June 17, 1943, in Hamilton, OH, to Paul A. and Effie (Creech) Miller. He retired as an ironworker, after many years with the Local Union #1216. Ray was very active in his younger years, and enjoyed skydiving. He was a “die-hard” union man, and loved working with his friends. Ray loved his children and grandchildren, and was very close to them.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana (Derek) Robinson of Mansfield; four grandchildren; and three brothers.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Friends may visit and share memories of Ray, between the hours of 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Local Union #1216, 821 Park Ave. West, Mansfield.
