Julio C. “Hoop” Rodriguez, 53, of Mansfield, died April 22, 2015. Born December 28, 1961 in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of Juan C. and Patricia (Batista) Rodriguez. Julio moved with his family to Miami when he was 11 years old. In 1992, he met his wife Wanda, and they married on April 18, 1998. In his free time, Julio enjoyed being outside, especially caring for his lawn and enjoyed working on the family vehicles.
Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Wanda Rodriguez; children, Luka, Milan, delVelo, and Juan Rodriguez; father, Juan Rodriguez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
Julio was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Carlos Rodriguez.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 4-6 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m.
