MANSFIELD, Ohio – The Mansfield Division of Police responded to an armed robbery at the BP Duke Station located at 595 South Main Street on AprilĀ 16 at 11:02 pm.
An employee called 911 stating an unknown suspect entered the business and demanded money while pointing a weapon at the clerk. The employee described the weapon as looking like a machine gun.
Major Crimes Detectives, along with the assistance of the NOVFTF, followed up several leads and identified three suspects involved in the incident. The suspects were identified and arrested for aggravated robbery.
Detectives also obtained three search warrants for two apartments located at 383 Wood Street, as well as the vehicle believed to be used in the robbery.
James Davis, Darius Leflore and Kelly Finnegan were arrested in connection for the robbery.
Mansfield Detectives and Crime Lab Technician Cindy Reed located evidence related to the robbery, including the firearm suspected of being used in the commission of the crime.
Major Crimes Commander Lt. Robert Skropits stated this was another example of Mansfield Police Departmentās commitment to reducing violence within our city.
Chief Ken Coontz commended the professional dedication of officers and detectives in their response to this violent crime.
