MANSFIELD, Ohio – The final two officers involved in the March 10 incident at the Volunteers of America halfway house have been cleared to return to duty.
According to a press release, citing “pertinent information from BCI&I” and a Mansfield Division of Police administrative review of the incident, Mansfield officers Shane Gearhart and Paul Webb will be reinstated to full duty Sunday.
Terrence Moxley, 29, was pronounced dead on March 10 following an incident at the Volunteers of America halfway house.
Previously, Officer James Reed, Officer Steven Hornback, and Officer Orlando Chatman were reinstated to full duty beginning March 21.
The primary investigation being conducted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is still pending. Once BCI&I’s independent investigation is completed, it will be presented to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
