MANSFIELD, Ohio – Voters may vote early/absentee starting Tuesday April 7 for the May 5 Primary Election. Registered voters may vote in person at the board office located at 1495 W. Longview Avenue Suite 101.

Voters are asked to use the building entrance at the rear of the Longview Center in the lower level parking lot at the southwest door.

Hours for absentee voting in person are as follows:

• 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Tuesday, April 7 through Friday, April 10

• 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Monday April 13 through Friday, April 17

• 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Monday April 20 through Friday, April 24

• 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Monday April 27 through Friday May 1

• 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.– Saturday May 2

• 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Sunday May 3

• 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Monday May 4

Please note that not all precincts in Richland County are open for voting on May 5, as some areas do not have any candidates or issues. 46 of the 88 precincts in our county will be open. For mailed absentee ballots, request forms may be downloaded from our web site at: www.richlandcountyoh.us/boe, or a letter requesting an absentee ballot be mailed to a voter is acceptable if it contains the following information:

  • Voter’s name and Richland County address
  • Address to mail ballot (if different than residence address)
  • Voter’s signature (ballots will not be issued unless the request is signed by each voter)
  • Voter’s birth date and one other form of identification such as the last 4 digits of their Social Security Number, driver’s license number or a copy of a current utility bill, government document or bank statement.
  • A statement that you are a qualified voter
  • Party affiliation
  • The Primary Election Date of May 5, 2015

The above information should be mailed or delivered to: Richland County Board of Elections, 1495 W. Longview Ave. Suite 101, Mansfield Ohio 44906. Requests for mailed absentee ballots must be received by the board at noon on Saturday May 2.
