COLUMBUS, Ohio —  State Sen. Larry Obhof (R-Medina) announced that the state will invest more than $500,000 to improve camping at Mohican State Park in Ashland County.

Campground improvements will include numerous upgrades to comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act standards. Other improvements include replacing outdated electrical service, providing additional sewer and water hook-ups, and expanding campsites to accommodate larger camping units.

“These upgrades to Mohican State Park will improve access for Ohioans and help more people enjoy the natural beauty of our State,” said Obhof.

Campground upgrades are scheduled for completion by July 2015.
