MANSFIELD, Ohio – Modern Woodmen of America members in Mansfield recently helped raise money for cancer patient David Robinson by holding a pasta dinner at Mansfield Christian School.

The event, held on February 13, raised $$12,915.50. This includes $2,500 matched by Modern Woodmen’s home office through the organization’s Matching Fund program.

The money will be used for medical expenses.

The Matching Fund Program offers Modem Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need by holding fundraisers.

Modern Woodmen matches money raised up to $2,500. These fundraising projects contribute $10 million to community needs nationwide each year.

“The community truly came together to support a local need,” said Greg Boyce, CASL,RICP,CLU,ChFC, local Modern Woodmen financial representative. “That support is what it’s al labout.”

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen mernbers, chapters provide opportunities to take part in social activities and community service projects to meet local needs.
